Joseph Rachman is an independent Indonesia and Southeast Asia analyst and reporter based out of Jakarta. He covers politics and economics and is regularly published in media including CNBC, Foreign Policy, The Straits Times, The Diplomat, Asia Times, Nikkei Asia, and the South China Morning Post interviewing CEOs, politicians, and policymakers. He previously worked at The Economist covering British politics and economics.
Joseph graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in 2017, winning the Richard Carne and Dunster prizes and being granted a Bundy Scholarship, and with an MPhil in World History in 2019.
