Lavanya Venkateswaran is the Senior ASEAN Economist at OCBC based in Singapore. She is responsible for macroeconomic commentary, forecasts, and insights on the ASEAN economies of Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines as well as identifying regional pan-ASEAN trends. She joined OCBC in April 2023, prior to which she worked at Mizuho Bank and Nomura as an ASEAN economist. She holds a MSc. in Economics and International Financial Economics from the University of Warwick.
