Robyn Cahill OAM was appointed a Northern Territory minister in September 2024.
Holding ministerial portfolios for Trade, Business and Asian Relations; International
Education, Migration and Population; Workforce Development; Advanced Manufacturing;
Children and Families; Child Protection; Prevention of Domestic Violence, Ms Cahill is a
strong advocate for the Territory.
A leading healthcare professional and business woman, Ms Cahill was a former Executive
Director of the Australian Medical Association, a General Manager of the Darwin Private
Hospital, and most recently, CEO of the Palmerston GP Super Clinic.
Her interest in supporting strong support frameworks for children and families, child
protection and the prevention of domestic violence, comes from more than 36 years
working in the healthcare sector.
While Ms Cahill remains one of the most experienced professionals in the Territory
healthcare sector, she is also committed to supporting the NGO sector, previously chairing
the NT Cancer Council and NT Hospice and Palliative Care and currently chairing Total
Recreation.
Ms Cahill’s experience in managing large, complex organisations ensures she is no
stranger to the challenge and importance of growing a strong workforce and attracting the
population required, to meet the needs of the region.
She is dedicated to maintaining the Territory’s important international relationships and
helping to grow and support local business through industry development, migration and
business support initiatives.
Ms Cahill is passionate in her support of stronger and more prosperous communities.
