Desi Anwar is Director/ Senior Anchor/Correspondent with CNN Indonesia TV based in Jakarta. Desi is Host of Insight with Desi Anwar, featuring in-depth interviews with public figures,
newsmakers, celebrities and decision makers from Indonesia and over the world.

Prior to CNN Indonesia, Desi was Senior Journalist/Talk Show Host at Metro TV, Jakarta, hosting 'Face2Face with Desi Anwar.' The programme featured many prominent international figures,
e.g. The Dalai Lama, Sir Richard Branson, Richard Gere, George Soros, Christine Lagarde, Karen Armstrong, Muhamad Yunus, various heads of governments and heads of states. Desi also hosted
'Tea Time with Desi Anwar' featuring Indonesian personalities. Desi also hosted ‘Today’s Dialogue,’ ‘Economic Challenges’ and ‘Perempuan’ on Metro TV.
Desi's career in Journalism and Broadcast Industry began in 1990 starting with RCTI (Indonesia's first independent TV) as pioneer TV Reporter, Anchor and Executive Producer presenting Indonesia's
prime time news bulletins Seputar Indonesia, breakfast news Nuansa Pagi, lunchtime show Bulletin Siang and producing prime time current affairs magazine 'Liputan Khusus'.
Desi co-founded Astaga.com, Indonesia's first web portal, before joining Metro TV as Consultant and trainer when the station first aired in 2000.
Desi was also columnist for The Jakarta Globe and Mainichi Shimbun, Tempo English magazine, The Jakarta Post, Indonesian Observer.
