Marlisa is a skilled and experienced government affairs and public policy practitioner who brings with her almost 20 years of experience in government relations, public policy, community development, foreign policy, and diplomacy.

She is currently the Country Manager, Indonesia for Speyside Group, a leading public affairs and public policy consultancy specialising in the Global South, and Indonesia as priority market in Southeast Asia. Prior to this, she was the Partnership Director at Mandala Consulting, an Indonesian-owned business consulting firm. In this role, she led efforts in building and maintaining strategic partnerships, driving business development, and fostering collaborative relationships that will enable the firm to thrive and expand its impact. Prior to working with Mandala, Marlisa was the Associate Director of Vriens and Partners Indonesia Office, where she provided government Affairs strategies, as well as communicated public policies and engagement strategies to multinational clients in the country and regionally. 

Marlisa was a former diplomat at the the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia and she was also one of the presidential interpreters team. She was exposed to many leaders and high officials’ meetings, including G20, APEC, ASEAN and ASEAN and bilateral meetings. She concurrently served as 2nd secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore, where she was assigned at the protocol and consular service, and economic division. 

Marlisa started her professional career in the development sector, namely JICA and UN-FAO where she was involved in respectively road network development program and village based education program for animal disease.

Marlisa is an Australia Award Recipient with Master of Diplomacy and Master of Public Policy degree from The Australian National University. She also holds a Bachelor Degree in Economy from Hasanuddin University, Indonesia.
