Prof. Bambang Brodjonegoro has held several prominent positions in Indonesia’s government, including Minister of Finance (2014-2016), Minister of National Development Planning (2016-2019), and Minister of Research and Technology/Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (2019- 2021). Currently, he serves as a Special Advisor to the President for Economic Affairs and National Development and holds key positions as President Commissioner of PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk, PT Bukalapak.com, and PT Prudential Sharia Life Assurance. He is also an Independent Commissioner for several Indonesian companies. Prof. Brodjonegoro earned his Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and is an active lecturer at the University of Indonesia.
